The president of the group that owns the
Los Angeles Galaxy highlights their interest in the Brazilian, in an interview with 'Sports Illustrated'. Kaká's father says he wants to stay in Europe.

Tim Leiweke, president of Anschutz Entertainment Group, the owners of Los Angeles Galaxy said to 'Sports Illustrated' that the team hope to close a deal with Real Madrid to bring Kaká to the MLS.

"We know about Kaká's interest in the MLS and we've made our interest in him clear. We have a great relationship with Real Madrid, and just as we worked through a player with them six years ago (Beckham), I'm absolutely convinced we could find the right deal this time, too", said Leiweke.

His agent says his place is in Europe

Despite Leiweke's words, the player's father and agent Bosco Leite said to 'Lancenet' that his son isn't planning to leave Europe, although he hasn't closed the door on the possibility.

"I don't know anything about that" he said when asked about the possible interest of the New York Red Bulls in his son. "For now, he wants to stay in Europe. That could change, but right now, I don't know. Corinthians (another club supposedly interested) have never been mentioned and they haven't said anything either", he added.
