The French club's owner is interested in three coaches: Mourinho, Pep Guardiola and Arsene Wenger. After meeting with each coach, he made Mourinho his first choice.

Last month rumours intensified about a breakdown in relations between José Mourinho and Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez, leading to reports that the Portuguese would be leaving the Santiago Bernabéu at the end of the season.

French magazine 'Le 10 Sport' has reported that during this period in November, negotiations took place between Mourinho's agent Jorge Mendes and Paris Saint Germain owner, Prince Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, and claims Mourinho himself held a secret meeting with Al Thani at the end of November.

They are believed to have discussed Mourinho's wage demands, his existing contract with Madrid and the club's sporting project.

According to the report, Mourinho is not PSG's only option. Al Thani still wants Carlo Ancelotti to leave at the end of the season and has three candidates lined up: first of all Pep Guardiola, then Mourinho, and lastly Arsene Wenger.

Al Thani is thought to have met with each of the three candidates and after the meetings made Mourinho hi number one choice.

The report comes just a day before Florentino is set to declare his support for Mourinho in a speech at a ceremony for Madrid's longest running members.
